Cactus Quest

Cactus Quest is a game about a group of people who have, for whatever reason, chosen to suffer the difficulties of living in the desert and outside the reach of the law to grow hallucinogenic cacti. Whether the plants are for recreational consumption, hold religious significance, or just to be sold at a profit, it doesn’t matter. You’ve got a passel of land, a patch of cactus, and a duty to protect them from any dangers that might be about, whether they’re real or just in your slightly altered imaginations.

Content Warning: This game is themed around the term “Acid Western” more than the actual genre. It is intended to deal with characters experiencing an altered state of consciousness brought on by at least passive use of hallucinogens.

Think along the lines of weird 1970s animated shorts.

More “The Yellow Submarine,” less “Breaking Bad.”

We hope you’ll play this for comedy, but you’ll do whatever you’ll do.
