World of Vaenia Mature Content Supplement

The World of Vaenia is a fantasy setting in the midst of a social and industrial revolution.

In the wake of an intercontinental war that brought together all of the continent's cultures for the first time, people are trying to set aside old grudges, learning from one another, and generally trying to knit the world back together. This process is not always smooth, however, so there's still plenty of room for conflict, especially since there are always groups and individuals that thrive by putting others to such hardships.

This supplement to the main campaign setting gives guidance on how to introduce rules for more "adult" services, situations, and themes into the original setting and the ruleset it uses.

It also adds an additional class, the Shacite, a type of caster who gains their power from intimacy, both emotional and physical. Its unique mechanic is that its primary ability is dependent on which subclass the character chooses!

AVAILABILITY NOTICE: 

This is a long-term project that had (until Jan 2023) been on the back burner for quite some time, and I have learned a great deal about topic sensitivity since it was begun.

While a version of this project has been publicly available on my personal website since at least late 2020, recent moves by a certain corporate entity have made me feel like I need to have some version of this product up and available on a more widely trafficked website to shore up my stance on which license applies to it before some unforeseen (and possibly unspoken) deadline passes, and I'm either forced to agree to a new license or abandon the project entirely.

I had planned to make updates to this setting before releasing it more widely, but here we are.  I still plan to do those fixes when I'm able to, but they are not present in this version (0.1.7 for this document as of this writing).

There are some problems inherent to the system that the whole setting is based around that I'll do my best to mitigate, but I know there are also some areas of my own creation that need improvement. As a result, I'm disabling downloads for the time being until I can implement at least some of these updates.
