A New Season

It's been quite some time, drivers, but not without good reason. To start off, this game is still very much in development, it's just had to spend some time in the garage as we work on life stuff. Like a good project car, if you give it time, it'll turn out fine.

For those of you just joining us from the High Voltage Bundle, welcome! The game is already playable, and we hope to expand it with more options soon and further improve the connections between the RP and racing side of things.

Where've you been?

Long story short? Working.

As of May last year, both of the designers working on this project were thrust into new 40+ hour a week job positions on top of other duties and projects, and we've been running in the red ever since. While we've still been gaming to blow off the pressure, there hasn't been much time or mental bandwidth to actually work on games as a result.

Things are starting to smooth out, but there're still one or two rough patches in the road ahead before we can find the right line again.

What comes next?

We're looking to get both the WCMC Yoofoh and DF Merlin done by the end of this month in celebration of being part of that bundle we mentioned up there (which you should all check out if you haven't, it's full of cool stuff).

Beyond that, we actually have basic plans for eight more chassis, but the numbers for them haven't been hammered out yet, so they're still a ways off. We're also doing some internal testing of a mechanic inspired by the Thunderbolt tokens of Gubat Banwa that we hope will reward the kind of dramatic scenes you get in racing media with mechanical advantages once the rubber hits the asphalt. Getting the balance right on that one is going to be a long-term experiment, so the first version you all see likely won't be its final form.
